This policy explains how Renovolt Electrical Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you contact us, request a quote or price, or interact with our adverts and websites (renovolt.info and renovoltltd.uk). We are committed to handling your information responsibly and in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

We are the "data controller" for the personal data described in this policy.

What information we collect

• Contact details you give us: name, phone number, email address and postcode.
• Enquiry details: information about the work you need (for example EV charger, fuse board, EICR), answers you give in our online price tools, and any photos or messages you choose to send us (for example a photo of your fuse board sent via WhatsApp so we can price the job).
• Lead-form data: when you complete one of our Facebook or Instagram lead forms, Meta passes us the details you submit.
• Usage and device data: when you visit our websites we may collect limited technical data (such as pages viewed and general location) through cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, to measure and improve our advertising.

How we collect it

Through our websites (including the online price tools), our Facebook and Instagram lead forms and adverts, WhatsApp, phone calls, email, and our Google Business Profile.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and provide you with a quote or price.
• To arrange, carry out and follow up on electrical work.
• To contact you about your request (by phone, text, WhatsApp or email).
• To keep records for our business, insurance and certification obligations.
• To measure and improve our advertising and websites.

Our legal basis

We rely on: your consent (when you submit an enquiry or lead form asking us to contact you); the performance of a contract (when we carry out work for you); and our legitimate interests (running and promoting our business, and keeping appropriate records), balanced against your rights.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run our business, including:

• Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp): for adverts, lead forms and messaging.
• Google: for our business listing, reviews and maps.
• Our website host and any customer-management tools we use to manage enquiries.
• Where required by law, or to protect our legal rights.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.

Cookies and tracking

Our websites use cookies and the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors find and use the sites and to measure our adverts. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and customer information only for as long as needed for the purposes above: typically while we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our business, insurance and legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us at sales@renovolt.org.
