That is always the priority on commercial jobs. Aled scopes the work around your trading hours where he can, isolates only what he has to, and plans the sequence so the unit keeps running. Wiring that keeps you trading is the whole point.
You get the right paperwork for the job, an Electrical Installation Certificate for new work, a Minor Works Certificate for smaller alterations, or an EICR where an inspection is needed. The documentation your insurer and any inspection regime will ask for.

In effect, yes. The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require employers to keep electrical installations safe, and regular fixed wire testing, reported as an EICR, is how you show you have done that. Insurers and landlords usually ask for a current report too. Aled tests shops, offices, workshops and units across Bridgend and the Vale.
IET guidance recommends up to every five years for offices, shops and similar premises, and up to every three years for industrial units. Those are maximums: if your last report gives a shorter date, that date applies. Aled records the next inspection date on every report he issues.
Yes. Fixed wire testing is the commercial name for a periodic inspection of the fixed wiring, and the report produced is an Electrical Installation Condition Report. It covers the distribution boards, circuits, cabling and earthing, not plug-in equipment. Commercial premises are quoted individually, in writing, based on the number of boards and circuits.
Yes. Aled installs emergency lighting and carries out the annual full-duration test, issuing a certificate for your fire safety records. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 the person responsible for the building must keep it working. BS 5266-1 recommends a short functional test every month, which trained staff can do, and the full test once a year.
It depends mostly on the network operator, which in South Wales is National Grid Electricity Distribution. They quote for bringing the new supply to your building, and that price varies a lot with distance and capacity. Aled quotes the work inside the building separately, in writing, and can handle the application process and the ducting where needed.
Look at the incoming supply. Three-phase usually means three main fuses where the cable comes in, a three-phase meter and a distribution board marked 400V or L1, L2 and L3. If you are not sure, send Aled a photo of the meter and main board and he will tell you, and whether it has the capacity for new machinery.
